It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of David White, an esteemed horticulturist, dedicated community champion, and the beloved President of Anglia in Bloom.  David leaves behind a towering legacy in the world of horticulture, having dedicated his life to greening our communities, fostering biodiversity, and inspiring thousands of gardeners across the region.

David was an exceptionally accomplished professional in his field, holding two of the highest honours in British horticulture: the Master of Horticulture from the Royal Horticultural Society (MHort) and the prestigious Kew Diploma in Horticulture (DipHort Kew).

Throughout his distinguished career, David made an outstanding contribution to horticulture, sharing his knowledge, passion, and expertise with colleagues, communities, and aspiring gardeners alike.

To many across the East of England, David was the heart and soul of Anglia in Bloom.  As a long-standing Trustee, regional Judge, and President, David travelled extensively to support local communities.  He believed passionately that beautiful green spaces, environmental responsibility, and community participation could transform lives.  His warmth, encouraging words, and fair judgement elevated standards across the region and left an indelible mark on villages, towns, and cities alike.
