Around 120 people from communities across the 6 counties of the Anglia region attended.
Bob Ollier Chairman of Anglia in Bloom reported another successful year, highlighting the success of regional entrants in this years RHS (Royal Horticultural Society) Britain in Bloom competition where entrants had achieved success in several categories, including;

Bob Continued “We have sustained the number of entries this year and also a large increase in the number of entries in “Its Your Neighbourhood” with 100 entries, compared with 62 in 2010 and just 39 in 2009. Each “Its Your Neighbourhood” entrant was individually assessed by our judging team who acted as assessors and marked each entrant against the new criteria. Every entrant received a certificate from the RHS highlighting there award” · The Programme for the day included several workshops covering key areas, § Photograph’s – successful photographs - Sue Dawson § Portfolio – how to create the portfolio - George Dawson § Quality plants – obtaining and uses - David White § Fundraising and sponsorship - Terry Bane and Bill Webster § Special Awards – explained - Eileen Ward § Question & Answer session - George Dawson and Brian Thornton
This was followed by an announcement by the Chair of Anglia in Bloom Judges George Dawson of the representatives from the Anglia region for Britain In Bloom 2012
